Our Classes

At CrossFit Ocean Beach, we believe your workout should be the best hour of your day! That’s why we offer a list of fun classes that are sure to get you in great shape while having an awesome time. All classes are included in your regular CrossFit membership. We scale every workout to fit your current fitness level, so don’t be afraid to try something you think might be "too tough" for you today - because it won’t be!

  • Fundamentals

    The Fundamentals Course is designed to set you up for success in a safe and confident environment prior to entering our regular classes. You’ll learn what CrossFit is and why it is a great way to get you fit for life and other endeavors. These small-group classes (which are required for everyone who has never tried CrossFit before) teach you all the basics to get you ready for the intensity of CrossFit or refresh your skills if you are already a gym member. Come prepared to learn new skills and sweat a little.

  • CrossFit

    Based on the CrossFit prescription of “constantly varied functional movement executed at high intensity,” our CrossFit program combines strength training with the “classic” CrossFit cardio workout. For this class, you could be working on pull-ups, rowing, burpees and much more. Every WOD (Workout of the Day) is different so you never get bored!  We scale each workout to your fitness level, so you get the maximum workout every time.

  • The Masters

    Do you enjoy CrossFit workouts, but wish you had found it when you were a little younger? Do you want to improve health and longevity but have to scale around an injury or have limited time to workout due to family and work commitments? Our CrossFit Masters program is designed to accommodate the changing physiology, work and family stresses, and past injury history of athletes 35 and older. This class emphasizes strength over speed and conditioning to help rebalance changing hormone profiles as well as movement corrective exercises to help overcome imbalances created from years of sitting, working, and driving to help keep our athletes injury-free. Coming in JANUARY.

  • Personal Training

    In today’s busy world, it’s hard to find the time to get regular exercise. So it’s important to make the most of the time you have. CrossFit Ocean Beach offers a wide range of personal workout programs to help you achieve your ideal body. Your personal trainer will develop an exercise regimen suited specifically for you, whether your goal is to gain muscle or lose weight.

     

    Pricing:

    • 1-on-1 Sessions: $85 per hour
    • 5 Sessions:  $375
    • 10 Sessions: $700
  • Hip Hop Dance Class

    Every week, Coach Kymmi uses a building block approach to put together a fun class that’s perfect for beginners set to today’s most popular dance music. Get a great workout, have lots of laughs, and yes, drinks usually follow. Coming in JANUARY.

    Pricing:

    • For non-gym members, drop-ins $15
    • 5-packs are $60 and
    • 10-packs are $100.
  • Burn

    Barbells not your thing? We hear you! During the Burn classes, Coach Kate focuses the strength portion of your workout on glute development and strong abs, followed by a high intensity interval training using body weight movements designed to increase energy levels, gain confidence, and build lean muscle mass.

    Pricing:

    • For non-gym members: $110/monthly; $15 for drop-ins.
  • Barbells Only

    This class combines olympic lifting, power lifting, and any technique driven movement. Coach Eric utilizes specific drills and movement sequences to help improve your Clean, Jerk, Snatch, Squat, Deadlift, and Press.(bench, strict, push). Beginners focus on improving their positioning. More advanced lifters work on refining their movements to increase speed and weight. Barbells. Coming in JANUARY.

  • Skills Workshops

    Having trouble doing double-unders? Need help with your toes to bar? Do kipping pull-ups, handstand push-ups, and muscle-ups seem impossible? Join us the last Saturday of every month at 10 am for a skills workshop that is sure to cut your WOD times in half! Once a month, Coach Eric will focus on a specific skill and provide the tools you need to master it! Each skills workshop will include a WOD at the end of class so you can practice your new skill. Coming in JANUARY.

  • Team Workouts

    Are you ready for a fun partner workout? Kettlebells, wall balls, running, jumps, jump ropes, any body weight movement you can think of, and occasional barbell work is fair game in this WOD.  Work as a team and have fun!

  • Open Gym

    CFOB offers open gym several hours per week. Open gym provides members with an opportunity for individual training goals.

  • Beach WODs

    We WOD where you vacation. Join us once a month for an outdoor beach WOD. Come play with us! Coming in JANUARY.

  • Mobility

    Stretching with an attitude! Our mobility class is designed to help you improve your mechanics to become a better athlete. This class will help you recover from intense workouts, teach you how to manage your soreness, and increase your range of motion.
